Chips keep getting smaller and smaller as technology progresses. We already carry hand-held mobile devices, and there are innovations where you can wear camera-assisted technology like glasses. I love living in the future! It's awesome to see new developments like this.

Nice! When can I have something like this implanted into my arm?
If you have the money, I'm sure someone will do it.
I jest - surely the logistics of upgrades, etc - would be complicated at best.

RE: Favorite Interview Question?
@NetworkNerd The most frustrating of interview questions that have been posed to me were seemingly simple situations where conventional methods did not resolve the issue.
The idea was to gain understanding of the thought process behind the solution, rather than the actual resolution itself. -

Ah ha. You should point out to them that they keep bugging you yet it is not you but they who have been the hold up all along.
I did.

RE: iPhone 4s suddenly stopped charging.
@Dominica Interesting how it's summarily stop charging like that. Makes me wonder about manufacturing standards, as if they're designed to fail after X amount of time.

RE: SSO for Google Apps
@scottalanmiller Not yet - that's the thing they need to get to me. Thanks for the link!

RE: SSO for Google Apps
@scottalanmiller Yeah, not exactly overflowing with information on this one.

RE: SSO for Google Apps
@scottalanmiller I can once I get it - the tool they're trying to use is called Rapportive, and there's a gmail plug in. Not sure it's the same thing at all.
Will post more when I can get more information out of them. -
RE: SSO for Google Apps
The client has a web-based app that will support SSO through Google apps.
They sent me this email with some kind of instructions that were copied and pasted from a website. (a link would have been better) I don't have enough information to actually carry out all this, so I replied to get some more from them. Mean-time, every time they are being asked for login credentials to their web-based service I get an email asking if we've set it up yet. -
SSO for Google Apps
I am collecting information about SSO for use with Google apps. A client has a third-party service they are trying to link in.
Anyone have experience with this? -

Aaannnd.... I'm registered. Boom!
It's being held at one of the Sea World ResortsAwesome. Let us know how it is.
Will-do!
I've never been to a conf like this. what should I expect? why would I go. is anybody out there reading this?
Why would you go to a vendor conference?
There are many reasons to do so, most notably the business networking that takes place at events like these. Because this one is vendor-specific, you could expect to attend sessions focused on issues relating to use of the product or use-cases. It's an excellent opportunity to get out of the office.
After the daytime hours, it's not uncommon for there to be a vendor-sponsored happy hour or party. Also good for more relaxed networking and socialisation.
Bring a fistful of business cards, because you will want to exchange with others you meet.
Bring something with which to take notes. Sometimes you'll be given a notebook sponsored by some vendor, but sometimes not.
Wear comfortable shoes. Lots of walking around.I hope that helps a little.

OS X side, Disk Utility is used for this: repartitioning, formatting, et al. Gets grumpy with NTFS, but not much a hassle when wiping.
I concur - if you're keeping it Mac side, NTFS is not the way to go.

We don't attend too many conferences. Where and when is this one?
Orlando in september. They're offering a 70% off if ordered before the 1st of next month. so instead of 1200 becomes 399. CHECK IT
That's a real good deal. Hotels in Orlando are pretty cheap, and it's easy enough for me to drive up.

Been running it fine on droid maxx for quite awhile
Battery just about the same or better than jellybean. They say it's supposed to be better, I say about the same...
Only buy maxx devices for users now and only for battery life... Tired of complaints.
Have you tried a Note 3? The battery life of a normal user can last nearly 2 days.
I concur. I own one, battery life has been pretty stellar!

OK updated my Galaxy S4 last night. Most noticed change - fonts, they are just a 'bit' different.
Yes, the UI changes I have observed have been pretty subtle. Seems a little smoother in transitioning between apps and things.
