So a windows environment on ESX (not ESXi?) that needs 2-3TB of backup capabilities that offer local and remote storage repositories for backups.
correction ESXi

We will be backing up File Servers VM’s (2TB -3TB). Due to bandwidth limitations, I’m hoping to have offline backup and with an option to backup online when needed.
Let's start with the basics.... what operating system(s), what hypervisor(s), what file server(s)? There can be no meaningful answer without knowing even what is possible.
All M$ servers
Assuming Windows AD DC, Windows "Server" File Server, etc. Only the databases and LOB apps are really up in the air. Which of those are you trying to back up.
We want to backup in case of system crash. Or if we need to fire-up the server at head office.
Exactly, so to protect against a crash, you need a true backup, not a "crash consistent" backup. Crash consistent is all backup software by itself will address, and that does absolutely nothing to protect you from a crash, literally nothing. Because it restores as if you had just crashed. I'm asking these questions specifically so that we can talk about your options to protect against a crash.
Hmmm Sometime the company system will have a database corruption and we will need to restore from the last working backup. That should not be complicated.

You want to backup, just like humans want to drink water, it's essential to business survival, that's all the reason you need.
Yeap, the audit will kill me if i dont have decent backup in this day and age. lol. also, its an assurance for a good night sleep.

I have around 12 VM's for DBs, File Servers, DCs, Apps, Media. Retention - 30 days. I'm hoping to get an appliance that can also use to backup online if needed.
Appliance approach is fine, but still requires agents. It's the software that matters. What hypervisor and OSes are these things? Also, no backup software or hardware can blindly back up just anything. DBs especially cannot be ignored, they have to be addressed at the application layer.
ESX

Hi,
I'm looking for a backup solution and wanted to check what are the options for 2019?

Any one encounter issues with stupid brocade switches? where the config will be lost when there is a power outage. I encounter it more than 3 times with different models. This brand is a joke.
One user keeps on complaining that the email message she sent was not received by the intended receiver? how to check the issue? We are using exchange 2010.
Hi,
How to fix when Windows 10 explorer hangs? You cant seem to browse the files using windows explorer but you can browse it if you will open the excel > file > open. you can do the same with word if you are looking for word document. I found it annoying to troubleshoot a simple windows application on 2019.

Hikvision NVR has 16 ports at the back. does the camera need to be directly connected to the ports? we have CCTV vlan and some of camera is passing via fiber and multiple switch hops.
I'm not sure where you're confused. BNC (analog over coax) goes to BNC. IP goes over the wire (ethernet). The appliance has an interface to configure your connected devices.
Sorry for noob question. Just want to make sure that the NVR's 16 network ports works as normal switch ports.

For now i would prefer to use appliance NVR so its easy to dismantle if needed. I have experience here that i need to dismantle my VMs and send to headoffice before Irma hits the property. If that happens again, I do not want to add another sheet of instructions to dismantle and assemble another system.
It would just be a VM. Shutdown your hypervisor and take it with you.
last time, we left the CCTV up until the power loss to get footages as long as we can.

I'm looking for NVR that can support 16 to 32 IP cameras.
Hi,
I'm looking for CCTV standalone NVR. I have experience using Acti NVR's but I'm looking for another NVR that will support most IP camera like HIKVision IP cameras like this Hikvision DS-2CD IP camera
so what we did was 3 step process - put the extension number on first alternative, another on second alternative, edit the call re-routing for the said extension number pointing to the line of 1st and 2nd alternative. we use the current timer but instead of going to VM it goes to the alternatives.
just extension forwarding no inward calls.
