@DustinB3403 Speaking of that, my town is doing a "Solarize" initiative where they are offering lower up front cost to get panels installed and are waiving some of the permit fees. Looks like the installers are offering net metering. Since I have to get teh roof re-done anyways this year might be a good time to make the leap.

RE: FreePBX and VoIP presentations
ok I'm going to ask, but I know this will cause trouble. What about fax on FreePBX; or should we use cloud services? (he says crouched down behind his desk waiting for the onslaught)

RE: Problem with Booting a Dell Optiplex 780 Desktop
As mentioned, check the power button itself. Still have 780's here many times the button sticks and will cause this symptom.

RE: Met with fiber isp guy, he gave us a proposal
be sure to verify their fiber delivered POTS lines support faxes or modems. GET IT IN WRITING IF YOU NEED IT!! Many times, as mentioned these are VoIP lines that are just connected to an ATA and will not support modems or faxes. If it something like Verion Fios, their "POTS" lines do support fax (they simply do a digital to analog conversion at the ONT, not voip from what I can tell) and we have not had any troubles with modems; not true though with our Time Warner fiber circuit.

RE: Email Digital Signature causing blank email?
is Mimecast anywhere in the chain? At one time we were having a similar issue where Mimecast was stripping emails with digital signatures. This was us sending out through Mimecast (using them as our smart host) I do not remember if the email received by the vendor was blank, or if it contained a message about an invalid attachment. I had to open a support case with Mimecast and there was a gateway setting (Sorry I do not remember the exact setting) we had to change. Good Luck

RE: O365 Email Spam, Phishing, & Malware Protection
Mimecast user here. Once we got it set up we haven't had any issues and we can go back so far about 6 year in our archives. Support is generally good and usually answers questions on the first call or email. My contact over there is very Sales oriented unfortunately always trying to get us to buy add-ons for the product.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@StrongBad Good, at least my boss agrees these are more of an HR thing but she does keep a running I guess "log" if you will of items throughout the year and it's actually a bit more informative that the "standard" review.
