@wrcombs I was so tired this morning I forgot to get coffee. Kids are sick and I had to keep getting up all night to help them. I'm just beat.

You could be entirely right there Dash. Telling me php was insecure just tells me that whoever set it up did something wrong with whatever app it is working with.

RE: MySQL/Wordpress issueposted in IT Discussion
To check all your memory at once just do this command from the terminal. [free -m ]
That will show you the current state of your memory.
Top command is just that. Type [top] in the terminal. Watch it for a while then hit ctrl-z to end the top session -
RE: What did you have for lunch or dinner today?posted in Water Closet
@rojoloco Yeah I agree with you. i like a bit of red pepper with my meals and of course nothing wrong at all with spices, onion, and garlic. That's what I cook with instead of butter or fats like her and her mom does. Drink plenty of water and a little salt does nothing to you in my opinion

Well I think things are looking up. That was a good idea from Scott to shut down Apache and then work with mysql. I think you can go ahead and start Apache back up and let those run for a while to see what happens.

RE: Is Windows Support Really Easier to Find Than Linux Support? SAMIT Videoposted in IT Discussion
Yeah I liked this too. I totally believe all that too. I even experienced this recently too from talking to a Windows admin and yet the average Linux person who may not even be an admin just knows vastly more it seems. Anyway, good video and thanks!

Ok cool thanks. So having SELinux on permissive for the install is not good enough? That is surprising but ok. I will just do that and if it works make a rule to let osticket through.

@scottalanmiller
You are entirely correct. The people like that it seems will not even consider anything else and would rather pay big license fees than learn other systems. -

@obsolesce Yeah you can't argue with wordpress either. You can basically have the hosted version up and running in a few minutes. If you just use it for documentation and not a web site then you can't beat that for ease of use and accessing it everywhere.

RE: Korora 26 is Here!posted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller Back in the beginning of my gaming days I played Tribes. Our group was a big lan group in the basement of this guy who was a gyno. Most of the members took STD names for their characters. Not me but most did. Your post made me remember that.

That looks nice. I use Dashlane and I love the features it has. I will have to test Bitwarden to see how it compares though. Good find
