RE: Dual PC-Quad Monitor KVM
@johnhooks
While I prefer free - open source - I'm okay with the low cost long time usage of the software. -
RE: Installing X2Go NX Server on Linux Mint 17.2
I have been pretty thrilled with it's function thus far. I can't say I going to upgrade my 17.2 - at least right now. It's only running for Pandora and goofing right now.

Final stretch, two hours to go until my exit interview.
Yea,.. if you could work this weekend that would be great. We need an updated STP report,.. and don't forget the cover page please. It's the only page I read of the 400 page report.

Pithos Experience
I have to say that my experience with Pithos is been better then just pleasant.
I had concerns that it would not run well on this old Dell 330 and Linux Mint. But it has run well. With it and X2Go, I manage my day to day music listening without pain and suffering.
I have been running this setup for a few months now,.. and it's just now occurred to me that there are no 'station breaks'.
Pretty happy about that fact.

User profile does not replicate to Server
Working on a clients computer that doesn't seem to want to sync the user profile to the server.
Sadly this started when he started complaining that his Desktop Folder wasn't right.
As of now, I have moved all the user profiles on the two computers he normally uses to a sub folder. Moved his folder on the server as well in the thought that the GPO should force a re-creation of both.
On first boot got a Temp Profile error which I have seen a time or eight here,.. fixed that and moved on. The domain profile created normally on the next boot and created the desktop folder. I created a shortcut, logged out/in and looked good.
Went to the server but the new folder wasn't created. I forced GPUpdate on the users computer, but still it did not create the folder in the \server\redirect\share.

System Fonts: Installing when not an Admin
When you have a user that uses fonts quite a bit, how is the best way to allow them to manage that without giving them full admin rights to the desktop

We need to invest in a bunch of batteries. Not sure where you can buy those around here, though.
Any chance to add a mini solar charger to the gear list? they aren't the fastest to charge,.. but they will function as a stop-gap measure:

RE: Wide Format Color Printers
At less than 200ppm - why not look at a local printer such at Staples or Office Depot? Limited use could spell higher costs per page due to ink waste.

RE: USB-C to become new standard
@MattSpeller
Which I agree is awesome. This USB-A, USB Mini, USB this, Lightning and all is crazy.. I prefer to not have so many cables..I also would prefer they figure out how to use the magnetic for the connector so you could just pull it and not worry about breaking connectors.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
Wow - what. an. afternoon!!!
Middle son has his last season soccer game today - Championship Game at that. Started at 3:30pm and didn't end until 5:30pm.. Regular game, and FIVE Overtime periods.... Both teams played exceptional games....
Our team went the season undefeated, and this was a difficult game. It was back and forth the entire game, with nearly a dozen near miss goals... The normal game period ended at a 2-2 tie
Started 5 min periods to see who would score first - thus winning the game. Just 60 or so seconds into the fifth OT periods we managed to score ending the game... Wow it was almost as stressful as the FIFA World Cup
While giving out team trophies - the League Commissioner said that in the ten years he has presided over the game here,.. this hasn't happened...
Wow... They done good!

UBNT Forgot / Lost UserID Password
Just over a week or so ago I received and setup a new UBNT AP and in doing so, created a Linux VM controller. The process was pretty simple and straight forward.
But in doing so, I seemingly managed to misplace the password I had set for it. A quick question to @JaredBusch, and I was pointed to the UBNT Forums - I asked him first as he has several and thoughts were he may have dealt with it already...
UniFi - How to Recover lost UserName and Password
Problem solved.
