Client with UBNT Controller and nine APs on site having issues recently.
Up until about two weeks ago, client had no reported Issues with Wireless other than the normal here and there. Now they have five people complaining their phones and tablets won't connect to the internet. They have wifi signal, but get a message network disabled.
the SSID is good, but not one that is in the UBNT Controller, so not managed centrally, so what / where is it.
After doing several hours of trouble shooting and tracing down the issue it comes do to:
There are 10 APs,.. not nine. the tenth is....A Meraki in an office.
This goes with what I determined yesterday - it had to be 'another network' device as the SSID was different. As it turns out, yes, a Meraki wireless AP, running a different SSID that was not renewed due to the client favoring the UBNT line and not wanting to continue to invest in licenses for that service.

Speaking of that. It is funny that you mention whiskey. My son had bad toothaches and we tried all the baby crap on the market for toothpain. Some older people suggested we try putting whiskey on his gums. That worked so well, I wish we would have tried it months before we did.
That is what my grandmother did to us.
Whatever works, right?
Edit: I wonder if this works for adults with problem teeth.

Just finished up a minor 'kill time' project.
Using parts from Amazon and Adafruit, took a 18650 cell and turned it into a battery booster. Right side is the charger that will also have a port for using Solar. Left side boosts to charge any USB device... Switched to reduce battery drain when not in use.

I am confusing that the Edgerouter ERLite-3 has price $49 with 1 mil packet per second which is same price with Cisco Linksys E2500 with the packet per second (Not sure). The Cisco one which I am using it is unable to deliver the outbound call. Most of the calls are drop, busy and no voice or breaking voice.
I would say that a lot has to do with the QoS and the level of service difference between the too.
Routers don't 'care' what the packet is, it just pushes it along.
The Linksys E2500 likely just doesn't have the CPU or the frame work that the ERL does. The ERL is a work horse - which is why it is in use by so many here on ML. UBNT has a solid product line that isn't tied to the name Cisco.... UBNT has proven that there product is superior in a number of ways over Cisco time after time.
Go with the ERl - No fuss - or headache

Looking good. Two comments:
- You should add some tubes to the switch. A bit much of tin solder. Next to a short circuit
- Your GND connection on the module on the right side of the picture (BAT -) doesn't look too great.

you will want a UPS system size to allow your generator time to spin up and stabilize.. You likely will also want a line conditioner between your generator and UPS.
Things people don't seem to think about when they have a generator backup system -

In trying to isolate why an install worked on one system and not on another, I need only review history It's a great resource unless you have a habit of covering your 'tracks' by running history -c - which clears it.
So - how do you quickly and easily look at it as a text file? simple... nearly always find it via GOOGLE, but why not tag it here.
history >> /home/%user/Desktop/history.txt
This exports it to a text file on your desktop.. history saved,.. just store it of PC and you can do more trouble shooting if needed.
