I'm working in a very simple environment. One office network and one data center network connected via VPN, and we have ASAs and Dell Switches. If I've learned anything from this gig, it's "more than just Cisco stuff can provide good network services." Albeit, we had to replace a Dell Switch because of a botched firmware upgrade, but other than that, the switch switches just as well as my cisco lab switches.

@RojoLoco I'm thankful for the networking knowledge I gained while doing my CCNA studies during my career change; however, as far as configuring / understanding-existing-configuration is concerned, this is a pain.

Taking a break from the postfix stuff to refresh knowledge of NAT, and to learn how to configure NAT on an ASA 5505 (finally).

To be honest, I'm rebuilding what a person before me did (figuring how they build it) to make sure if stuff blows up, then I can rebuild it. Maybe, one day, when I'm no longer a n00b, I'll post the documentation ;).

Rebuilding VM and reconfiguring postfix to see if I can replicate my other one. If all functions well, then I can write my documentation.

I think many of our users' brains are hosted on AWS, judging from some of the support requests coming in.

Looks like the AWS problem is affecting Slack and Twilio.

Where do you folks get your news about the latest and greatest in IT (networking technology in particular)? I'm making an effort to really start trying to stay on top of what's new in networking; thus, I'm curious to see what all of you consider / use as good news sources.

@DustinB3403 Nope. It just requires learning and experimenting, so I've been ordered to hold hands -- even though the folks could figure it out on their own.
