RE: Chocolate Chip cookies made with honey
@Minion-Queen The GF / Real foods websites I've been visiting seem to prefer the almond and coconut flour combo, because they are more nutritious than rice flour. All of the yummy stuff I've made has a couple of TBS of coconut flour in with the almond, because it makes baked goods lighter in texture.

RE: Brand New Laptop - No Boot!
Could you hear the hard drive spinning when you powered it on, or was it a SSD? I might have plugged in an external monitor to make sure it wasn't a screen issue and tried new RAM if available, but other than that, no ideas. Annoying that you now have to wait for them to send you a new one.

RE: TED Talks: Sir Ken Robinson on Do Schools Kill Creativity
This video actually helped to remind me that when L#1 doesn't feel like sitting at her desk and doing the schoolwork that I want her to do, letting her get up and play with her toys is just fine, especially at this age. If I try to push the desk work too much, we both end up frustrated and annoyed with each other. If we have a day where all we do is calendar time and a reading lesson, more often than not, the next day she is eager to sit and complete every worksheet and subject I have prepared, often wanting to do far more than I have available. She and I are discovering how we "do school" together.

RE: Brand New Laptop - No Boot!
Lol, yeah, that was my thought too Bill. I don't know that I would have done any troubleshooting at all on a brand new machine that should be working perfectly straight out of the box. I get indignant when new things don't work as they should!

RE: MangoCon 2017 Topic Ideas
@brianlittlejohn said in MangoCon 2017 Topic Ideas:
Depending on size of conference and number of training topics, etc, I could see something where you had traditional sessions in the morning then a couple of training options after lunch where you could choose one that you would find beneficial for you.
I like this idea. Maybe a 2 hour break out time slot each afternoon with a couple different options, the second day building on the first.

RE: Anyone else laughing about the title of this board?
Does anyone else do the Thumb Wars "Ned Beatty" bit every time they say Bob Beatty? Just me?

RE: Robots that kids program themselves
It has attachments and accessories too, so you can use it with legos, or program it to play the xylophone, and they recognize when there's more than one robot and can interact with each other.

RE: Anyone else laughing about the title of this board?
It might have been The Blair Thumb. I'm not sure which one that was in. @scottalanmiller ?

RE: Office365 and aliases
Is he using Outlook? You can use the "To:" view to see to which address the emails were sent. You can also create a rule to filter them into a folder by "To:".

RE: Cooking with mango
I bet both of those would be great sweetened with honey, but then again, I LOVE honey in just about anything! I don't like fresh papaya, not sure why. I bought a fresh one for Oreo once, and it made me gaggy as I was cutting it up, and every time I took some out of the freezer to put in his food, it made me gag again.

RE: Hot Topics for MangoCon 2019
For anyone who wants to commit to being a speaker: Please send me your topic (if you have one), a hi-res picture with good lighting (might I suggest taking a peek at the pics of the current set of speakers for an idea of what would make you look super cool), and a bio. We might need to fine tune topics, but I'd love to get an idea of who our speakers are and add you to the website as soon as we are able.

RE: Reputation?
@Bob-Beatty It's not. That's the British-English spelling. Like theatre.
