I'm guessing you're looking to spend as little as possible. But since this is a lab - what about using some **cheep **consumer SSDs?
You have bird SSDs?

did the driver name of the Mac's printer driver change? I know for the windows ones to work there needs to be a driver mapping setup.
How would it have changed and what do you mean by driver mapping? When you install the printers you just install the x86 and x64 drivers to the server's local install. When you share them, it just grabs the appropriate driver and pushes it. I'm not sure what you mean by driver mapping.
It's been a long time since I've dealt with TS. But if memory serves, there is a Printer name of sorts that the client will send back to the server (over the RDP connection) so the server knows what driver to use for the clients local printer. Back in the day it wasn't uncommon for server drivers to be 'named' something else inside the INF file than what the client was called. If these don't match up the server would not know what the printer on the client was.

I was wondering the same.

Hold the phone...
Scott you could setup your computer at the office with Logmein while logged in as a non admin, then go home and still access it remotely? I've always had to preinstall an agent on the client I want to control before I could do this.
No. There is no agent for the accessing side. There always has to be a root install to be the server machine.
I'm pretty sure that is what IRJ was saying

I'm in support of having to take a test before voting (can be verbal for those that are illiterate but informed) and I would probably fail it.
Hate to say it, but I'd be in the same boat. Though I do consider myself more informed than the average citizen, that's really not saying much.

RE: How can I search and find agents that have a connection to the Internet?
Remote controlling out is another story, If I have the client install at home, I can control my home computer from work simply by using the website nothing need be installed on my machine.

I'm not sure most (or really anyone) would rate themselves at below average in their ability to do anything. The conclusion does seem kind of obvious.

I want to +1 Bill's last post but the idea of adding to his reputation just because I like his post doesn't seem to make sense.

RE: Trying this again. Choices.......
Even if it is only a single proc with 8 gigs.. you can add the others yourself down the road.
I'm guessing they might only give you two, maybe 4 drives to setup either RAID 1 or RAID 10 for testing. -
RE: Ninite Alternative
It's so weird to see you two have these types of conversations
I'll take a look at Chocolatey too - will it push out to all network computers like Ninite?
Ninite was going to be something I was going to push for - at $300/year for 100 devices I consider it a steal at $0.25/computer/month.
I thought they had a technician's or MSP license too?

You would have thought. Mobile and RT could easily have been one and the same. They are for iOS and Android!
I was reading about the large amount of turnover lately in the desktop area in MS and these things be split was one of them. I hope this means we'll see them get on a better path.

RE: MS Drops Surface RT
I'm not surprised by this, but it was my understanding so they could allow the Mobile Group to build a unified product for that sector.
