One issue will be accidental, continuous trickle charges killing battery life.

I'm assuming electronics on the device side could solve this?

To some degree, but moreso it requires humans to be smarter than they have been.

I don't follow - My HTC phones never told me to unplug them when they were fully charged. To the best of my knowledge they would stop charging on their own.

I've noticed though, that my Samsung Galaxy S4 dings and then tells me to unplug it when it reaches 100% charged. Which I'm not likely to do if I'm sleeping - even when I do see it, if I'm not leaving I just ignore it.
Are you saying I should change my behavior?

Is there a way to make every new member read this? This will definitely help new posters frame their question better.

      Good thinking.

But I'd say not knowing what you don't know is why you find yourself in those situations in the first place.

As long as the server side doesn't suffer the horrible security flaws that the desktop does - What difference does it make what the back end runs? I don't really want an answer, it's just a thought exercise.

    • RE: What Helpdesk Platforms are IT Service Providers Using

I'm still using SW, but not all the bells and whistles. Management hasn't backed the use of tickets (though I think they are starting to really warm to the idea) so I'll keep SW, but I think I try the newly free'd one too.

Are there new rendering issues this morning?

I'm posting on this thread, but the bottom blue bar says I'm in the "Desktop Notifications" thread.

That explains why they stopped bothering me.

Thanks - I personally didn't see the value.

Command and Conquer Generals was the last PC game I truly played. I think I had a P4 with 4 Gigs RAM and an ATI 2nd level video card ($500 was enough - $800 was just crazy).

I can't say favorite, but I did install a Mediawiki 2 weeks ago. It took about an hour for the initial LInux (CentOS) and MediaWiki install - about another hour to tweet and install a few extensions.

The temp transfer is a definitely an option - I wonder how many people start with that idea, then forget and start using it otherwise.

      @slazer2au said:

You don't have to use A names you can keep to IP addresses. You can use the include argument as a kind of wildcard.

You can use MXtoolbox to check if your SPF record is correct. Just remember that some older DNS servers do not use the SPF type so you will have to use a txt record along with a SPF

What do you mean? and SPF record is a TXT record.

I love the idea of this, now for phone cover manufactures to start taking the fatter cases into account.
