RE: Miscellaneous Tech Newsposted in News
I wonder how difficult it would be to build XS from source. Wouldn't that give you all of the features without any licensing restrictions?

Updated the script earlier today to deal with a change in the yarn build process.

Was a solution ever found for this? I've recently encountered an issue where I can't login as an agent using FF, but it works fine from Chrome.

My buddy has the Amplifi with two mesh endpoints and he loves it. Pretty basic functionality through the phone app though.
The web interface is almost non-existent, so the phone app is the best way to configure the router. One glaring omission is no VPN support, although they did recently announce Teleport.

Just set this up for my home network. Supplied my work email and a personal cell #. Within 20 mins, I received a phone call from them at my non-supplied work #. Guess I should have used my gmail address to avoid that.
Are you certain nothing auto filled that you didn’t expect or something like that because I’ve never had contact from them by means of something I did not supply. And I’ve signed up more than one account from more than one address
AFAICS. I went back and confirmed that my cell # was on file with them.

I didn't do a trial, I opened a personal account.
Is there a difference? I only saw the free trial option even for home use.

I have this phone sitting on my desk for probably 3 years now, rock solid.
Yes, they are good phones. I have three of them I'd like to sell if anyone is interested.

RE: Networking issueposted in IT Discussion
This is a rental home, so don't want to run cable throughout the house to connect the switch to the router. Resolved the issue by putting in a couple of powerline ethernet adapters.
Glad I could help JB in keeping his blood pressure in check.

RE: Networking issueposted in IT Discussion
I would like some of the VMs to have internet access. My PC has access to the VMs and the internet. The traffic will be minimal, so is there any way to use my PC as the gateway for the VMs?
Suggestions on how to make this happen without running a cable between the wireless router and the switch?

Problem resolved. The server was previously been hooked up to a Dell Powerconnect. Switched back to it and everything is now fine.

RE: Networking issueposted in IT Discussion
@jaredbusch Sorry if I wasn't clear. I meant to update the wireless router to start handing out the matching IPs for 192.168.1.x instead of 192.168.169.x.

PE R620 issue [Solved]posted in IT Discussion
Relocated a server to my home office and I've run into an issue. When booting, it gets stuck for a long to at this prompt --

This seems to be related to the 4 port "integrated" NIC. I've tried reseating the card, but it doesn't appear to have made any difference.
Here are the related entries from the Lifecycle logs --

My GoogleFu only turned up suggestions about removing any USB devices, which there aren't any attached to this server.
Suggestions?

RE: Networking issueposted in IT Discussion
@jaredbusch Can you explain why changing the wireless network so that everything is on 192.168.1.x won't work?
-
RE: Networking issueposted in IT Discussion
I'm going to try switching the wireless network over to 192.168.1.x.
I'm having a separate issue with the server. Think I'll post a separate thread for that.

RE: Networking issueposted in IT Discussion
@travisdh1 Wow... didn't realize it would be that simple. So just update the subnet on all devices? To test this, can I just implement the change on my PC or does it need to occur everywhere?

I have a wireless home network built with AmpliFi from Ubiquiti. All devices are on 192.168.169.x subnet. I have a server that I would like to move into my home office. The server is running XS 7.1 and all VMs are on the 192.168.1.x subnet.
What's the correct way to allow my PC on the wireless network to access the VMs on the server? I have connected the PC to the server via a switch, but unsure how to properly route the traffic between them.
