      So we have the above Wireless controller and access 10 Accesspoints (which is about double what we actually need) and people are complaining of poor wireless performance.

      With the free apps that one can download from the google play or apple stores I can confirm there are drop offs in coverage because of the way the units are pointed etc.

      But don't have any solid way to document the throughput of the AP's and a coverage map of the units.

      Any wireless experts out there have any recommendations. (obviously moving the AP's or redirecting them to area's is an option)

      Ekahau has a free tool, if I recall correctly. It's for Windows Laptops, I think.

      I use WolfWiFi Pro on my Android... it's $50 bucks (but was worth it to me)... It will let you import a floor plan and do heat maps and everything else with it.

      I've always reconciled the identity of the Trinity like three puzzle pieces of the same puzzle... You don't say you have three complete puzzles... You have three puzzle pieces. Put them together, and you get one complete puzzle.

      Well the problem is the trinity itself is not defined in the Bible, in fact God himself in the Bible claims to be indivisible (Galatians 3:20, Hosea 13:4, Romans 3:3), though of course you can find some contradictions in how the concept of "the son" is explained in various places, even though those also don't quite fit (Isaiah 43:10-11).

      It seems to me though that the trinity if itself is fairly inelegant, because when it comes to explaining any other aspect of faith you don't typically need to reach all over the place to build this view point. Furthermore, the concept of the trinity didn't even exist for the first 300 years of Christianity. I think it's the result to attempt to reconcile a lot of issues with viewing Jesus as God himself in the flesh, rather than the Messiah alone.

      Yeah. This is one of those things of man trying to describe God when we really just...can't come close to understanding. Did some reading up over lunch and found an interesting read about it... It's kinda lengthy and uses a lot of scripture references... Seems to me to do a good job of describing it.... http://www.gotquestions.org/Trinity-Bible.html

      This was the one I sent the person for reference: http://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/booklets/is-god-a-trinity/the-surprising-origins-of-the-trinity-doctrine

      Keep in mind these things don't account for concrete, metal, etc. nor do they account for having your signal levels too high.

      Unless you are using the heat mapping and go from room to room. WolfWiFi was pretty much spot on.

      Here's a way to get Yesterday today and tomorrow... I'm not a super proficient Perl programmer.. but htis is what I could cobble together...

      #!/usr/bin/perl

      my $today=time(); #Todays time in seconds since ~Jan 1, 1970

      my $yesterday=localtime($today -  86400); #Subtract 86,400 seconds (one whole day)

      my $tomorrow=localtime($today + 86400); #Add 86,400 seconds (one whole day)

      $today=localtime($today); #Convert today into a proper date/time format.

      print "Yesterday: $yesterday\n\r";
      print "Today: $today\n\r";
      print "Tomorrow: $tomorrow\n\r";

      Ya so I tried VGA but it's kind of fuzzy on my HP monitor.

      Why not install the Nvidia drivers and be done with it?

      Well from what I saw its kind of involved (at least on Fedora). Plus it was the end of the day and I just wanted to go home haha.

      Going home trumps all... Install NVIDIA drivers on Tuesday... Money is not a good day to install NVIDIA drivers, ha ha.

      But the difference I have seen with ZeroTier is that even if it decides to route over the ZT adapter, my ping times are still 1ms in the office.

      You need to go into the NIC settings for your ZT adapter and specify the ZT IP address of you internal DNS server...

      What is happening is your ping / nslookup from off-site is using whatever DNS servers your ISP gives you.

      Both of the IP addresses that I pointed to are the ZT IP addresses of my internal DNS servers.

      How are they to know your advice is sound versus anyone elses?

      because I can point them to documentation describing what they want to accomplish and how it needs to be done.

      @Dashrender said in O365 and encrypted mail to other email systems:

      So I mentioned the TLS only option to my boss yesterday.

      I broke it down and told her there are basically two options:

      1. get a third party bolt on product like Zix, Barracuda, etc. This will be a subscription service that we have to pay for all of our users forever, but this option does allow for on/off of encrypted user to user email.

      2. Force our email server to use TLS for all connections. If we try to send an email to someone who's server doesn't support TLS, we simply can't send to them. Period. This is the free option.

      She left the conversation saying that I always leave her between a rock and a hard place. 😞

      It becomes a simple choice, though... Spend money for a third-party product... or use standards based stuff and not spend money...

      Turns out you need to actually export the NFS share before the NFS client can mount it. Who would have thought...........

      I agree. Let's go home! Has been a back breaking week here. It's only Tuesday and we've already shuffled around two racks of equipment, with another several hundred pounds of stuff to haul off to the junk pile... I mean Auctioning Block.

      Is it Friday yet?
