I have people hunting for solutions that allow large meetings currently. North of the commonly available 150-300 attendees range that I see on most products.

      Anyone have suggestions for that?

You'd have to license for it but Zoom can do 1000 people meetings as well.

Zoom is probably one of the best tools out there and it isn't too expensive.

Zoom is basically always the answer.

It works on everything and is so simple, even a doctor can use it once the IT pro sets up the account and puts it on his devices.

Yeah, Zoom is the default option for this, really no need to look elsewhere if you want something idiot-proof.

Where are you getting this information? Everything that I've read says either that coronavirus is less deadly but more infectious or that we just don't know what to expect

The WHO has set the death rate so far at 3.4%. However that may be slightly inflated due to people not self-reporting when they are ill. https://www.who.int/dg/speeches/detail/who-director-general-s-opening-remarks-at-the-media-briefing-on-covid-19---3-march-2020

Generally the flu kills far fewer then 1%.

I've done a little bit of reading about COVID-19 (the new Coronavirus)... It seems to me that everybody is panicking simply because it's new?

It's new and so far it's deadlier and more infectious then the flu that we are used to.

Connectwise Control has a free 2-system license that you can just sign up for. It's super simple.

I thought they did too, but I couldn't find it earlier

@Dashrender To be honest that's my next step is now to make some keys for my laptop, and see how and where they go 🙂
but my guess is in the same authorized_keys file on a separate line

      This is your friend.

      ssh-copy-id -i ~/.ssh/id_ed25519.pub user@ip

if you only have a single public key you can simplify it to

      ssh-copy-id user@ip

I specify because my desktop has a few different generated keys.
      3ff95aa0-de1f-4a83-b1c3-74c0919f78c8-image.png

How does this fit into disaster recovery plans when you have many hundreds of ssh keys and a large IT team? If one person has 100 keys to various servers and their laptop dies, are you guys using a script to copy the keys per user? Also new user creation or deleting keys when someone leaves

There is also a way to do a trusted key broker. So you have a single CA that verifies your identity.

@Supreme_Overlord since the will probably be used for Steam games, check out the Steam controller. I got one (2nd one is a regular xbox wireless) and it has been pretty good. And it can go wired or wireless.

yeah these go on sale quite often so you might want to wait until you see it

It was discontinued in November of 2019.

What do we do now? The Steam controller is what made SO many games actually usable! Dammit. That was a literal game changer.

Yep they had a blow out sale in November. Then they announced they were clearing stock and cancelling un-shipped orders. There was rumor about a V2 coming out but nothing has materialized yet.

I totally forgot that happened. This was when they were selling steamlink for $1 right. I think all of it was on sale

The Link was all but useless.

Really like the Link I have. When you play over a wired connection it works flawlessly.

@hobbit666 Yeah I just got their smartwatch too. Its the GT. I love it. Just a small computer on your wrist. I was hesitant for a long time but finally I thought what the heck and tried it. I really like this thing. It has like 10 different watch faces you can choose from with different information on them so you can choose what you care about. It has a lot of built in software I havent even explored all of it. The other night I was cooking rice and needed a timer so remembered it had one and when I opened it it had presets for 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 min. I chose one and off I went. Dont have to listen for the timer anymore because it just vibrates on my wrist now. I guess what I'm saying is everything they just seems well thought out.

      I think I'm going to pick up a GT2.

      One is out for Carnival,

Well laissez les bons temps rouler! My girlfriend is making a king cake later.

I think I'm going to make fastnacht tonight for my girls. I need to pick up some frying oil though.
