RE: Steam on Linux
@scottalanmiller It will teach how the basics of the OS work, and troubleshooting the Linux OS, from there I can move on to the server admin stuff. (I just bought a couple of HP DL385 G6's for that as well)

RE: Steam on Linux
Cool! I haven't had a beefy enough computer for games in a few years and have been wanting to familiarize myself with Linux more. I figured going with linux as the only OS will be the best way to do that.

@DustinB3403 I wonder if that snapshot from January is part of what messed his system up when it lost power. You shouldn't keep snapshots hanging around that long. Nothing but trouble.

Steam on Linux
Who uses Steam on Linux? I have a new computer come in and was thinking about loading Linux Mint on it and was curious about how well steam runs on it. (I know there will be some games that aren't compatible with Linux)

RE: Starting own IT consultancy - Gathering list of tools required and recommendations
@Ambarishrh It works well you can divide stuff up by companies and it can keep track of notes, time spent working on a pc. There are 3rd party solutions to import thatinfo into Freshbooks as well (i've never used any).

RE: Hyper-V 2012 R2 and CentOS 7. Gen 1 or Gen 2 Virtual Machine?
@hobbit666 Not yet, it looks like it installed, but I am not able to pull up the webpage (times out) I'm wondering if iptables is blocking port 80.
