February 9th at 11:00 AM I will be getting my two top wisdom teeth removed. What flavors of ice cream should I load up on?
Hydrocodone flavored!

@MattSpeller @JaredBusch In all honesty, I got the LR because it was the one that was in stock and was only a few bucks more. Is it that much better in terms of signal range? Probably not, but I was really tired of my old setup and I am happy with this one.
I did the same thing... needed one next day and that was the only one from Prime available at the time.
We seem to have them up here no problem
I needed it back in June, NewEgg had them in stock then, but I have had issues getting stuff next day from them, so I went with what I could get from Amazon Prime.
I avoid buying smart tv's... The UI of Roku's or AppleTV is superior to the crap built into the tvs
That is the way I always understood RDS licensing, each user requires a CAL and it is not concurrent use.
Unfortunately it is almost impossible to find a "dumb" tv now.... I guess the only thing to do is just not hook it up to the network.

Alright - y'all are awesome, but I need a round up for all this info.
We have users working with limited or no internet often. What version of O365 comes with local installs?
Are there any cloud storage components I should be aware of? (our data can't leave Canada for reasons)
If the online version does send data to hell and gone is it possible to have only a local install and block the online logins?
Can you get a version that's local only and save money? We host our own exchange ducks to avoid incomming abuse
All I have on Office 365 is the Office Pro Plus plan. It only includes the Local Apps, no storage, no exchange, no sharepoint. You have to login with the O365 credentials the first install, then once every 30 days it needs internet access to verify the license
@Dashrender Just looking to play and test out various things, may use at a client in the near future.

Wicked, that's what we want.
I'm concerned about the 30 day call home to the mothership thing. I will need to consult with others about that.
Yea, since it is a subscription service, they have to have some way to revoke the license once cancelled.
Dismantling my Exchange Infrastructure since all I need is one server now that I have moved of O365.
I would restart the print spooler service as my first step.
Had to rebuild my Unifi Controller vm, completely screwed up apt and it was easier to backup and reload.
Next hardware refresh I'm getting a SCALE cluster...

I'm not going to go on another rant about the DMCA but how does Plex Cloud work legally? Seems pretty crazy to me if they are just relying on the old non-drm content technicality
https://www.plex.tv/blog/book-plex-volume-3-plex-cloud/
I have a beta key if anyone wants me to test it.
That link takes you to an article that only talks about linking cloud storage of your stuff to plex.
But to answer the question you are trying to ask.
It is likely no different than certain add ons to Kodi. It is not Kodi providing the questionable sources.
Isn't over 90% of content protected by DRM? How do you legally watch movies on Plex locally (without subscribing to a streaming service)? I get that they aren't supplying the content, but who are they marketing to?
Nobody in the US has been prosecuted for removing DRM from DVDs and BluRays because they actually don't want a court challenge on DMCA law.
@wirestyle22 I would put the same thing in at my home... if I didn't live in an apartment and put in a proper cable plant in it.
Well, I'm going to have to buy this when it comes out...

Here is a good blog article that gets into some of the specifics of licensning music/tv in the US.
@NerdyDad From looking at the article it appears to....
@MattSpeller I only shave once a week, so I just throw a new blade on every time since they are so cheap.
You can also disable VSSAdmin.exe . It is used by alot of ransomware to delete the shadow copies.
