Fle sharing was one of the features shown in Pertino website.

Now tested from windows, after a minute, I saw that out of 3MB download, 16% then shows calculating, and 4th minute went on till 98 and finished almost at 5 mnts! It is slow

I will try it from a Windows machine, but we have mix of both Windows and Mac. My friend tried from India, from Windows but even that was slow, he was using a home Ian dongle internet with 5 Mb speed.

Any one worked SP for file sharing? I need to work on a solution to use our existing Netapp with Sharepoint. Currently its just AD sharing, but we needed more, file versioning, collaboration etc. Would love to hear some ideas!

hmm, makes sense. The current VPN solution provided to us is really bad and I was working on to put a business case and wanted to showcase Pertino as the go to route, but this is not helpful!

+1 for Screenconnect, good choice, the one time fee was amazing, i hope they still have that deal. Fortunately/ Unfortunately I am no longer manage IT support and is done by our parent company using VNC as all machines are in the global network

As I've seen several good reviews on Pertino, I finally decided to test this. Installed on my home mac, and on our office test server, shared a folder and RDP enabled. RDP works great, but when testing the file sharing, upload & download are super slow.

Home connection is 16mb line and office is 100mb and @ office no one is working as its after office hours here in Dubai now. Anyone faced such issues with Pertino? I am trying to copy 40MB file to the server and its been almost 5 minutes and is just 30% !

Do you get any errors while connecting? What's the output when you ssh with -vvv switch?
