Is it just bad practice to use the disk cleanup tool on a domain controller?

The Winsxs folder is using ~24 GB of space on a rather small C drive. Is there any reason I shouldn't follow this guide and remove whatever it finds.

This is a physical install.

Knock on wood, I haven't had any issues, but a full image type backup would be advisable before starting.
