XenServer + HALizard + Xen Orchestra
-
So this is really a odd question I know.
But if XenServer were setup with HALizard in 2 node High Availability, could you still use Xen Orchestra's Continuous Replication to the second host?
I'd imagine it simply would not work at all.

Unless I am missing something in how it works, it should work just fine. The HA-Lizard cluster is "one node" and the secondary host is the second node. So we are talking three nodes here, but this is a standard design for an off site replica with on site HA. Very common in other circles.
I would expect this to not just work, but be as designed.

But I think you are asking if you can have full sync storage between two nodes AND async storage too? What is the purpose of the XO CR when HA Lizard provides something better? XO would either require you to double you storage requirements AGAIN on top of the doubling what HAL does, and would be pointless because you would never use it because HAL provides the more reliable storage.
Instead of "what technologies can I use together", state the end goal? Why would you want to do double replication of the data to the same places?

Draw it out so we can better understand what you want to do.

Draw it out so you can better understand what you want to do. Because you don't.
