How about Java 8 is the death of Java on the client side? I just found out today that I now have to redeploy Java client side because the system the hospital just installed requires it for file viewing... I(&%(^ sigh.

I'm constantly amazed at how many people write client side Java still.

I'm part of a product review right now through SW and their client is a Java side JAR file! I called them out in the forum right away... they claimed they did it so they had to most compatibility for cross platforms.

Blah blah blah. Yes, Java is good for that except no one wants to have to install it. It means it potentially runs nowhere.

Exactly! So, is there a platform that is cross platform friendly that people do like?

@scottalanmiller No one likes python if they are serious.. Though my hatred is strictly due to the space indentation...
