Resizing Screen Due to New Ads
-
Now that we have the new ad(s) on the right hand side of the page that began two days ago, we've noticed that while the page comes up and is usable extremely quickly with the ad loading after the rest of the page, which is exactly what we want, we will not tolerate delays caused by the ad load to detract from the experience, it does do an annoying "resize the text only after the ad has loaded" thing that we can't fix. We've sped it up by declaring the size of the space so that it is more predictable, but this helped only a little.
We reached out to the developers and this is the response: We have a widget system refactor planned, and for ex. that's why persona doesn't utilize the widget system at the moment until we figure out the details. It's a 1.0 thing, we have a bunch of other things to sort out first, just to give you an idea of the timeline That is from @psychobunny
So it is a known issue and a fix is coming, but will be some time.

NodeBB 1.0 is targeted for the end of 2015. But that is pretty ambitious as the 0.9.x family is not out yet.

Just looking at that thread on my phone shows me features that we do not have. Potentially the theme?
-
The themes do control access to features, so very possibly. What feature are you seeing, I must be missing it.

The big blue line for navigating the thread. omg that would be a godsend since i have no way to go to the bottom of a thread from the recent or unread view on iPhone

I have that same nav bar in white up top.

No, on the normal screen.

That is the point it is on the MOBILE view.

OH!!! you are saying that NodeBB's forum has that and we don't? Now I am getting it. It might be part of their 0.9.x update. They run the beta code over there.
