Anyone played with the Steam Link yet? Wondering what to expect.
I haven't. I was tempted to pick one up over the weekend but some of the reviews have been... meh. It sounds like In-home steaming isn't up to snuff quite yet.
That's too bad. I'll be testing it over the summer, so we will see.
Please let us know how it goes. Apparently the latency made the game seem slow and there was significant input lag. One of the reviewers even mentioned their home/office setups was 1Gbe with the PC and Link sitting next to each other on the same switch.

As the Link isn't a GigE device, I'm not sure what the point of that would be. It's going to limit down to 100Mb/s no matter what.

I think the point of the clarification was that his network was up-to-snuff and met the minimum requirements for the Link.

When in doubt, break out Medieval Total War I with the XL mod.

I prefer the strategic map over the tactical one, so I've not really liked much newer than MTW II. I am a little curious about 40k, but I can't imagine trying to handle the tactical implications of flying units in addition to all the other moving parts...

I do enjoy a good tactical game. Xcom is one. I'm also backing a kickstarter for a game that reminds me a bit of FF tactics: Children of Zodiarcs.

Goat Simulator is available for free this month on XBOX with "Games With Gold" ... didn't some of you guys like that game?

What's in the new update?
new vehicles, (air land and sea), and a new organisation structure - can now buy offices and warehouses, collect goods (anything from artwork to human organs) and sell in bulk - the more you collect and sell in one go, the higher the price! It's pretty nice to see, but the main downside is you HAVE to be in a public session...seems to be the main annoyance to most people...other bits and bobs here and there, new clothes, styles, gun mods etc...but the main this is the organisation stuff

I saw that Steam has Tron/RUN on sale and I'm a huge fan of TRON; it sparked my interest in computers at a young age. I'm unsure if I want to get RUN, though. It looks like it has a lot of multiplayer stuff and I'm pretty invested with ARK at the moment.

@scottalanmiller yeah, it's the first "big" update for a while, last one was more heist focused...this focuses on stuff AFTER the heists, as in what to do with your money to make more money
