@scottalanmiller There are those that grind through fighting games and those who grind through Skyrim (Whilst happily stabbing Draugr)
I don't like grinding wherever it is. I like story.
That's what I really play for. I'm not ashamed to say I'll cheat my way through the grinding bits (for single player games), depending on how grindy it is. I won't do God mode or anything like that, but if I need a bunch of gold to buy stuff, or mana so I don't die every 5 minutes, yea. I'll do that.
I want the next bit of story (and no, it does not detract from the value of the story -- at least to me)!
I'm assuming you aren't a dark souls fan?
Nope, I keep looking at it and realizing that there isn't anything slightly interesting about it for me.
Try Bloodborne if that is the case. It's more story based.

Yeah, price is in line with other VR products, but not something that I am going to be grabbing right away. Although an HTC/Steam made headset is very promising and I am going to be watching it closely. That would travel pretty easily with us and having the ability to play games without a television around is a big deal for us.

I wonder how well it will work for 2D games, as nothing more than a "personal monitor." If it worked well for that, I might really like it for that 90% of the time.

That's my understanding. It acts like a personal monitor unless it is specifically a VR game. Although that may have changed since the last time I looked.

Not sure how mobile it is... seems like it would need a lot of stuff.
