I started reading Steinbeck's East of Eden last night.

I really need to get my Calibre library back up and running. Just finished the Fifth Season by NK Jemisin and I'm fairly certain the sequels are already in there. They definitely need to find their way onto my phone!

I finished the first three books of Barsoom Series Complete Collection - 11 Books (13 Novels) of John Carter - Fully Illustrated by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
After watching the John Carter movie I got curious about the original source and picked it up on Kindle.
It took a bit to get used to ERB's style given the era it was written in but it was non-stop gripping.
When I have a bit more time I'll finish the series as I got distracted by Conrad Black's Donald J. Trump biography that my foster dad passed along to me.

Just finished reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone to the kids, once again.

Just started reading the first three chapters of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer to the kids. Believe it or not, my wife has never read it!

@jmoore I never read it either, but I've heard about it a number of times.

@NerdyDad Ok I guess it isnt that unusual then. It was either read to me in early years or required reading at least twice if I remember.

It's a decent book. I always enjoyed Twain as a writer. Although that's like saying I like water. Twain is a phenomenal writer I don't think that's ever been disputed.

Seriously, no idea! And she went to a liberal arts college as well! She was salutatorian of her class in high school.

At most it was required once for me, technically I only remember having to read the sequel, which at the time I remember thinking how clueless they all were to have us start on the second book rather than the first, which made the second not nearly as good.
But still, one of the two at least.
