I've heard people recommend this. I've used Yammer for the first time today and it looks far too basic for project management. It's little more than a crap Facebook isn't it? Fairly pretty, but very basic.

Anyone using it successfully for project management?

I'm still trying to find something for my ERP project. I looked at Trello, which is ok. I'm now considering Basecamp, which is also ok in terms of functionality but doesn't look very nice (aesthetics are important to me).

Never would think of using it for project management. It does look like an internal version of Facebook but if teams are using it for project management and it works, why not?

Yammer really is crap Facebook. We used it internally for chatting and ehh not worth using something like that.

For Project Management have you tried Asana? I know my team really liked it. We are moving to Dynamics CRM for both Helpdesk and Project Management. So are moving away from things like Asana. But it was pretty good.

I really don't care for Yammer if you are a big company it could be useful for some collaboration and research discussion but not true project management.

We use the project management and CMDB in our Service Desk Plus. (we have pretty much every product from Manage Engine.).

Never heard of it, but I will trial it now. I like that it is free for up to 15 members, as we're not likely to exceed that. At least not on this project.

Yammer is pretty good if it is what you are looking for. Problem is, not too many people are looking for that. I think that as a corporate Facebook it isn't too bad. For project management, I can't imagine trying to use it.

We just started using O365 for CRM and Yammer.

CRM is picking up for sales pipelines, sales forecast etc, and slowly moving to do project management, timesheet etc with the PSA module, currently the free one as we are still in the beginning phase on using CRM (http://www.assistancesoftware.com/psa/licenses/)

Final target would be to use CRM as an all in one place for project management, sales forecast, and probably use the service module as a basic ticketing system as well, but a long way to go as it is still new and people are just getting to know the system.

Yammer on the other hand is just for knowledge sharing, more of a corporate facebook alternative, which again we are planning it very carefully as the last time we tried (free Yammer), was just total chaos as people starting posting anything and everything and literally tried replacing FB in the office in the beginning and then totally stopped. New O365 Yammer, we are using mainly for news on whats happening on CRM portal for example, other news in the company, tech news etc.
