Bridge at Florida International University just collapsed onto the highway. Many fatalities, unknown numbers of people trapped under the collapsed span. Miami-Dade area.
-
That's terrible. Brand new bridge, too.
-
They had just put it in because someone had been hit while trying to cross the highway.
-
Tragic. There are jokes here, but the timing is just not right yet.
-
How the heck does an unused, brand new bridge collapse so soon. Who cut corners here that caused this?
-
That's southwest of the airport.

I agree. Too many corners had been cut to cause this kind of tragedy so soon.

Seriously.

Wtf, you can tell just by looking at it... that it won't hold up. I'm surprised it didn't collapse under it's own weight after setting it up!

It kinda did.

We probably shouldn't mention the sub, sub-sub, sub-sub-sub-contractor issues that have existed in South Florida for several decades.
No I don't have a link. Sorry. -

Maybe Ford doesn't need to recall those cars after all. Congress debates allowing tens of thousands of cars without steering wheels.

"Oh, its okay, their chauffeurs drive them around too. They really don't need these steering wheel things."
