See also: Florida. When you pump out all the groundwater, there is nothing left to hold up the surface. That's how you get sinkholes.

It implies nothing of the sort. He wasn't arrested for shooting in self defense, he was arrested for illegally owning a firearm and carrying it! Just because you do one thing in self defense does not mean you should be exempt from other laws. Doesn't look like the police did anything wrong here.

Yes he had the weapon illegally, yes he shouldn't have shot in public. Yet how is anyone supposed to defend them self when being fired at. Legally owning the weapon or not.
