William H. Merideth was cleared of first-degree endangerment and criminal mischief charges Monday, news outlets reported. He was arrested in July for shooting the drone while it hovered over his yard.
The drone was ruled to be an invasion of privacy. A rather important case.

This implies, of course, that the shooter can now countersue for wrongful suit, invasion of privacy and any costs associated like the bullet and such.
