Kaspersky Labs Finds NSA Spyware on Hard Drives
-
This is a major breakthrough in security against the world's largest malware organization, the NSA, who is also known for making the Stuxnet virus.

Those NSA tossers need to get the bleeping heck out of the supply chain. Vast majority of our kit is made in China, if they did this the other way around we'd be screwed. Badly. The lack of foresight here is just staggering. A few years ago the US was blocking imports of Huawei networking gear on the same suspicions; if they were not doing it before I bet they will be soon. Imagine dormant malware in a huge chunk of home networking gear... good grief.

Not impressed. -
-
Now the next question is - are they infecting the drives at the factory or only once they are in the field?
It's clear from things like the recent bank discovery, stuxnet and everything in between that government level entities have powerful tools that can pretty much do whatever they want.

@Dashrender not happy, displeased & other feels of similar nature
-
It appears that only it is out in the field.
-
Has there been a dump of this published or maybe what sort of drives and the address space of where it is or anything?
-
A few makers were mentioned but likely it is everyone.

@scottalanmiller I got an itch to disassemble it, I gotta see it! It's tearing me apart!
