NodeBB 0.6.1 Update
-
Given that we are very short on time going into our big "Friday" event, we are going to push the latest community update this morning, in the middle of US posting hours. Sorry to have to do this but we just don't have the time to wait on it and traffic has been so high around the clock that there is no good time to do it. Going to attempt to make this as quick as possible. System backup is already in progress.
-
Test update went well, no issues. Fingers crossed.
-
And we are back!
-
Back in black?
-
Back to the shack.
-
Searching is back! The Solr system that we were using is not working anymore. But the basic DBSearch now works again. So.... good enough. Might need to remove Solr to reduce system resources then as we need all that we can get with this kind of demand.
-
YouTube is back.
-
Many of the plugins that were struggling for us before are not even available now. So that answers a lot of that
-
See Scott, that's how smooth you guys are. Great job!
-
Very happy that this update was able to make it out smoothly ahead of the big event this Friday.
-
I'm happy with the update.
Thank you.. emoji is working fine now. -
Search is working! Thank goodness.
-
No kidding, lacking Solr was worrying me a bit
-
Another big win today, things are looking good.

FWIW, the link for Markdown syntax take you here, which appears to be out dated.
This one seems to be more current:

Thanks!

Just noticed the new quick link to the bottom of threads on the iPhone view.
Awesome!
-
@JaredBusch do you mean the 'replied 2 minutes ago' portion?

Yes. Previously on an iPhone, that text was not there. There was no way to jump to the bottom of a thread in that view.

Yeah I noticed that text last week on my Windows Phone and Android - It definitely makes ML usable now on mobile devices.
Frankly I'm not sure how Scott dealt with it for long threads for so long.
