Referral $$ to MSPs - What do you expect?
-
We are a vendor who has many MSPs as clients and currently have a a referral program, but would like to make it even better.
Do you expect anything (other than amazing quality and customer service) from vendors?
What is your wishlist to have in a referral program?
-
Our wish list is:
- Some sort of compensation either $$ or hardware
- Reciprocation on the referrals
- Support on forums like this for our services and that we are one of your partners
That's all I can think of now

This is all great, and in my opinion the basic definition of a two way business relationship.

If I'm not a partner and I refer someone, I'm referring them because I believe in the product and that it'll do the person I'm referring some good. If that company wants to toss some $ my way, I'd be happy to take it.
If I'm a partner, I'd want that company to help give me the tools that I need in order to not only sell the product, but to handle the onboarding and implementation in a way that'll wow my clients. Give me continuous training, be it webinars, self-paced, or both. Give me some IURs so that I can get a feel for and even do my internal work off of the products that I'm trying to sell. If I can provide that superior service to customers, it'll make its own money. How can you help me give my clients the pickle (http://www.giveemthepickle.com/) in order to make them happy and earn us both money?

@Nara I love that pickle video. We are definitely a company that goes out of our way for customers. We had a customer who needed a server in costa rica the next day. We built the server in the morning and then one of our engineers jumped on a plane, checked the server as luggage, and had it up and running the next day. It's had to explain to prospective customers the benefits of a pickle giving company when nothing is going wrong.
Great feedback so far on this. If anyone has a specialty, send me a chat with the info and your location and I will pass it on to our reps. We will try to connect you with our end user customers if one of them is struggling in that area.

Here is something that can help both end users and MSP's. If you are working on a large project, we can setup your current environment in our lab, do a benchmark, setup your new environment, and then show the performance gains. You could then take the results to your management or customer and show them real world benefits and not just manufacturer data sheets.

Very nice. That's a great feature.
