Colour distorted when vieing photos

 G'Day Lads and Lasses, I have a bazaar issue with a Windows 7 Pro pc (my Home unit).
 When viewing photos (Windows Picture and Fax Viewer) or some of the other standard photo viewing ways built into Windows 7, there is a yellowing of the program which covers the background and photo. It looks like an Instagram filter. I hate it. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?I've been looking into this on and off for a while but I haven't found anything conclusive that fixes the issue.
 The photos are not adjusted by the viewing program and are fine when viewed in a different program like Firefox.I have found the following link and I'll try it when I get home: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939395 Anyone else seen this issue? (I'll post a screenie of it when I get home)

 I remember Windows 7 doing that. It was removed in Windows 8 and later.

 @scottalanmiller
 I thought I caught it doing that on my current windows 8 system too. not certain though.I found it the most when using the built in screen shot functionality. Since I switched to Greenshot, I never see the original issue

 Righto, fashionably late but here none the less

 The MS article I linked to didn't fix it

 Does the picture vary in some way or just the background?

 I see that the fur on the cat is more yellow in the first shot.

 @Dashrender said: I see that the fur on the cat is more yellow in the first shot. Slightly, but that may be because the background is an off-white.

 This is what I see from his two pictures when I put them side by side. The one on the left is definitely yellowed.

 Righto, after some more Google-Fu and some rewording, I found this: http://www.nextofwindows.com/how-to-fix-windows-photo-viewer-displaying-yellow-or-orange-tint-for-white-and-transparent-images/ It appears to be similar to steps that I have tried before but the last part seems to be a bit different. I'll give it a go when I next get a chance (hopefully tonight)
