This will be really something amazing if they truly manage to get it off of the ground.

I am very hopeful that they do not just do a little test with it but manage to actually run it between some sensible locations. Presumably that means between Dallas and Houston. Those are the two biggest metro areas not just in Texas but in the entire southern United States. Only NYC, Chicago, LA and Philly are bigger or on par with them for size. And only NYC and Philly are physically close in the same way. And there is nothing in between Dallas and Houston, just wide open space in which to build the loop. And there is no existing public transportation there at all right now. It is an epic opportunity to take Texas from the worst public transportation state to the best practically overnight.

This would be very beneficial for South Florida as well. Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach are really big and they pretty much run together. So when looking at the size of each city, it can be very deceiving. Traffic is absolutely horrible down there.

Also, There is another problem with the Florida Keys is the fact that it takes almost 4 hours to get from Miami to Key West. Its a 2.5 hour drive from Key Largo to Key West sometimes on roads that are only two lanes in many places and cannot be expanded since there is water on either side. If you live in Key West, you have to drive over 2.5 hours to get to a WALMART on the Florida mainland. Not to mention the fact that if there is an accident, you cannot even leave the keys since the the road is 2 lanes in many areas. Most traveling is done by boat by locals.

Lots of places could really benefit. The NYC to Toronto corridor and NYC to Montreal and, this will come as no surprise, Toronto to Montreal to Halifax.
