Any Mac users out here? I am an amateur video editor but with years of experience. My workplace had me get a MacMini so I can help support a new, lone single MacBook Air someone purchased.

So I took it up and fired up iMovie, to see how it compares to my trusty Adobe Premiere Elements. I tried to edit two videos I've been wanting to do for a while. Love the THEMES options...and it is easy to make cuts and edits. Both projects failed at making am MP4. Would get about halfway through and just stop. Before that, iMovie was crashing anytime I went to SHARE the movie (Make the file)...now, it will not complete rendering.

This is a brand new, MacMini (2014 edition) and nothing else loaded on it except all current updates.

      Any clue?

I have it but have never used it. And Frankly don't have anything to edit either. Let me see what I can check out and don tonight.

It may be due to the format of the original video, which is MTS format from a Sony HD camcorder. I will try some other formats and see if it handles it better. But that said, Adobe Premiere Elements handles MTS with no problem.

This is the original thread...I'll update what file types I was using when I get home tonight...

Have you checked to see if you are exhausting memory when it crashes?
