Snowstorm in Syracuse
-
Major lake effect blizzard hitting Syracuse tonight. As much as 5" per hour. They are expecting I90 and I81 to both close. Quite a way to herald in the winter Upstate.
-
Genesee County already has a travel advisory and 90 is closed from Henrietta to Dunkirk.
-
Dang it..
You can send some to Kentucky if you want.. but make sure it's enough to close the state down! Please

I think what the next town over is getting might do that for you. They have gotten a foot since 10pm last night and its still coming down hard there.
-
Hopefully it swings down our way... could use an early snow.
-
Most everything is coming off of Lake Erie now. The storm yesterday was a different one. Snow storms in NY once one starts another takes over
-
Heres what we have so far since 6am yesterday. And we arent getting hit hard at all.
-
Awfully early in the year to already be getting major storms...it's not that it's unthinkable, just not normal...
-
No it's about right.

Not really that early, even down state we generally get a good snow early/mid November that melts away before the real stuff gets here.

Come get it I don't want it! it is currently also 14 but the wind chill makes it feel like 3 out (that's what weatherbug says at least I am not going outside to find out).

Not uncommon for Syracuse to get snow in November but, like you said, it usually melts off before December rolls around. If we get these kind of accumulations, I think we just found the foundation for this winter's snow pile.

How is it looking this morning? We are bright, sunny and clear downstate.
