cursur change in chrome

One of my users was using Chrome when suddenly the cursor changed from the normal arrow to this.
Any thoughts on what they might have pressed? or what happened to cause this?

I've seen Clicking the center wheel of the mouse will cause this to happen.

OK, good call - I wonder why it didn't go away. perhaps clicking the center button again would have?

Or left or right click typically changes it back to normal Cursor.

I remote controlled the mouse and it made no difference with me clicking around... no idea if it would have had I visited the station.

I've never played with remote control of the mouse when this happens, always been at the station.
did you get it resolved? -
@dashrender Had this happen with a Logitech moue where center wheel can be "moved" left-right. Wheel got stuck in clicked/down position. Did not find a way to turn off other than replace the mouse and have user reboot.

Fantastic.. After WrCombs post, I was thinking that might have been the issue. The user rebooted and the problem went away - I haven't had any time to visit the computer in question...
