And I'm posting this from it! My thoughts so far: the touch screen is pretty handy for accessing Win 8 Start menu options, instead of moving the mouse around. I think that a lot of things are going to be easier with a touch screen, some things not. I love its teeny size for working from the couch, which I normally do during the day while homeschooling our girls. It's going to take a little while to get used to the compact keyboard, but that's to be expected with a laptop of this size.

As a reminder, here's the laptop Scott bought me:

I have my laptop, and I like one device per task. Phone + laptop. I'm good. :D

Huh? Hows that one device per task?

@Dominica I'm Glad you like it. I find the same in a laptop 13" and 10-11 laptops are the sweet spot. 15" is just too big anymore, you can big more resolution and space in a 13" than you could a 17" a few years ago.

@thecreativeone91 Yup, my 15" is just too heavy, and gets too hot for comfortable couch use. This laptop has a vent on the bottom, but because it's small, I'm able to balance it on one leg, and leave the vent uncovered.

Mobile and at home. The computer can travel. I don't have a tablet, which I consider a tweener device. I have my laptop which I can use anywhere, and my phone I can use anywhere. Phone is for calls and when I don't have my laptop. My laptop does the "heavy lifting":.

From what I've heard from parties that will remain nameless, he often times needs them...:P

Extra points are always a good idea.

Keep a few in the bank for when you need them most. ;)

I'm still liking it, although I occasionally wish it had a little more oomph, mostly, it serves my purposes well. If I really needed a faster machine for a specific task, I could just switch to one of our desktops. I really do love how lightweight it is. I've missed that while using the 15" monster.

It is probably as fast as the old desktops that we have :)
