So I have no qualms about displaying my sheer frustration with [over there] . A thread was started about a Shead who received a care package from them and how he was appreciative. Someone I have never interacted with before posted...
"What a great surprise. I love this community. Definitely gonna miss it."

My response?

*Say what? I already miss what it used to be. It's not the same community from even a year ago. It's a lot different, in a much worse way. But what are you referring to. *

Someone then proceeded to ask what I meant by that. I responded:

*Oh don't even get me started...lack of decent CMs, moderation going completely inconsistent and screwy, and several other things I really can't get into, especially on a public-facing thread. There has been a change in this community within the past 12 months, and not for the better. If I wasn't as invested as I am in [over there] as a community, I would have been gone a long time ago. As it stands, Magnus and PSX have both completely disappeared. High-level Sheads have almost disappeared and even some moderators have asked to be removed as moderators because the previously mentioned lack of decent CMs don't let them do their job and undermine their authority. I get yelled at by other Sheads for saying this stuff but the truth can't be denied. {over there] as a community has experienced a serious decline in the real value it holds in the past 12 months. They've traded for a superficial and more "glittery" face that has taken away potential opportunities like what I had when I first joined.

The reason I'm posting this is I got a notification that it was spiced up (a pleasant surprise) and I see this:

I couldn't believe it. LOVE IT! It's the fact it's a GG that makes it so good!

Oh, @RAM. , I'm no longer a mod either! WOOHOO!

I agree. I haven't posted too much Over there recently. After an employee PM'd me to basically say that some Mods/CMs who were flaming/attacking me in the WSUS thread for no reason, were okay but I was in the wrong to reply back ask if I didn't like the attacks I should only report the posts and not say anything in the thread. It makes no sense. I let said Over there employee have it and know I'm not happy with how things are going in either the community nor do I like recent versions of actually software. Said employee stated they were sorry to hear that and that's the first any of them have hear of any of these issues. Apparently they have receive no complains of either moderation not being impartial nor that the recently release of software are well, just plan crappy and doesn't work well. No one else has complained and in fact the majority of their users are loving it.

Ok guys, while I know everyone is frustrated right now. I want to make sure this doesn't turn into a bashing thread, or I will lock it down. We are here to be a service to the IT Pro community and a fun place to hang out. Negativity breeds more negativity. Keep it fun please!
