      The Treasury department started an investigation in "safety software" for home users over three years ago.

      The Treasury department has finally concluded that the the advertising for this software is fraudulent, but they aren't being prosecuted because the statute of limitations has expired. /sigh

          Not really - I'd think they'd get their ass in gear and get the investigation done before the statue of limitations is up. But I also know that they don't really care, so, meh.
