My machine is older and it is slick there, too. Although does bog down from time to time.

It looks good and works smoothly at least on my SsD
My machine is older and it is slick there, too. Although does bog down from time to time.
Is running fine on a Toshiba satellite and i3 with 4GB of RAM and SSD.

Unique interface (they make their own), and nearly everything is their own apps. So the whole experience is pretty unique.

No, there is a Google Drive download of the ISO so it is pretty fast in 10-15 mins tops.

Where is there a link to that? From their site, the download link is 2-3 days
