This is about 1/3 of the price of LMI
It's also missing some features, such as reboot/reconnect and stored session credentials. I'm curious as to how it works with UAC, though.

interesting, they have $1000 lifetime unlimited hosts plan. It's only the cost of what a normal 2 year plan would be.
Now the question is, how good is it compared to LMI

I completely agree join.me is not for remote support. You won't be able to see things like UAC prompts that come up while power users may be logged into the machine. LMI Rescue can work quite well as @alexntg mentions. I personally like the free version of LMI in conjunction with LMI Central (despite LMI's recent force to go to a paid version).

After researching many solutions with all the changes went down with LMI we at NTG decided that LMI Central was just he best product for us.

Yes, for supporting company-owned or company-managed computers, LogMeIn is great. It's not as good a fit for one-off support, as it involves installing the client on the machine. Rescue shines for situations where it isn't feasible to install the client on the machines you're supporting. So perhaps the question to the OP would be is this for internal/managed computers, or computers belonging to others?

I support over join.me regularly. Not ideal but it works.

DeskRoll is a great product. It offers remote control through any browser. No admin rights needed. Users can choose to install a client for continual support
On top of that, it supports file transfers, remote reboots, different connection speed settings (colors), and many other cool features.
The pricing is the best part. It is only $30 a month per admin for unlimited connections.

I almost forgot.
It pulls inventory from their PC. You get a list of applications installed, hardware specs and more.
You can also create reports and use it for tracking time spent with customers

I survived with using join.me for a couple years, but recently bought ScreenConnect. For a $350 one time fee, it is really really solid software. Upgrades after a year are even prorated quite fairly.

I have already done a couple freelance projects and my clients have been very impressed with DeskRoll. If I get more established, I may be ok ponying up $350 at once. Since I am still in my infancy, I would like to keep costs low.

Free version updates are not allowed after 365 days from purchase. But from day 366 to day 720 you can upgrade with an 80% discount on the cost.

Also we bought 2 licenses so it was $600 not $700.
The convenience and time saved has easily been worth the $600.

We do here and there but way too expensive for non-full managed scenarios.
