What Are You Doing Right Now

Trying to stay cool in the office and keep my productivity levels up - I'm struggling. It's hot here and we've no air-con, just a fan which is hardly doing anything. In an hour I'm off to celebrate my colleague's 40th birthday in a nice beer garden somewhere, so it's not all bad. Especially as he's driving.

So the exterminator just confirmed that our attic is full of rats. Argh. Just like our house in Texas. Tons of them. Them make so much noise in the walls all of the time!!

AAAAAArrrh rats! We have the odd mouse once in a blue moon but not an attic full of rats. shudder
Currently I'm looking at the clock as I leave for the day in 15 and can't start anything I can finish in that time, ergo cannot work.

Argh. And there is $3,000 we didn't want to have to spend.

In a two hour meeting but no one else has shown up. I didn't call it so it is relaxing time I guess.

We talked about it, but the exterminators are moving our service up in a panic and will be here mid-afternoon tomorrow. So it is only one more night and they are not loose in the house yet.... as far as we know.

Pray that doesn't change. They may have to fumugate the house you know. That'd suck...

Fumigation starts at 1PM tomorrow afternoon. We are into "dangerous" status already. They are attempting to come through the walls and have gotten into the duct work. We have a crew here all day tomorrow. All insulation is being removed, all ducts cleaned, whole house sanitized, the entire attic vacuumed out and all new insulation installed!
