Kids decided to have me read to them during their shower tonight. So I sat on the floor and read. We are on the final Harry Potter book after having a Harry Potter movie marathon day.
Looks like they taught you very well
They have. We read six chapters last night!
You're so nice, my mom would have just told me a terrifying story and then left or just scolded me to sleep.
LOL, I read to the kids every night for about two hours (three last night.) They come in and sleep in our room just because they want snuggles a few times a week.
How old were they when they would sit and listen to you reading for that long, staying interested? I would like to do that for my daughter now, but she's 5 and won't for TOO long unless it's a very entertaining story. (drama-wise)

Well this was only 12 hours ago, so they are still that age, lol. They are 6 and 9 now. But I've been reading to them regularly for a very long time. But to go this long is more recent, maybe only since the youngest was 5.5.

We've tried a couple of chapter books with my kid (he's about 7). He enjoys it for a few minutes, but then he wants to get up and try to play when we're supposed to be going to bed, lol.

Mine often colour while I read. Keeps them from getting fidgety, lets them wind down. It's actually easier to follow the story when colouring or something something like that then only reading.
When I was a kid, I adsorbed books more while playing with Legos than doing nothing but reading. And as an adult, it's when I drive that I can listen best.

That's actually really good advice. Thanks!

So we are overflow for an MSP in Brooklyn. Their Labtech software is either VERY badly setup or it really sucks.... can't tell which at this point. EVERY ticket that comes in sends us an email that it's assigned to us. Go to the Dashboard and they aren't .... what a pain! Not to mention putting in a note to the stupid ticket is a PITA

I'd start doing work. When you bill them and they ask you why they're getting billed, I'd be like "You contacted us for work. We did the work. You owe us money now." That should get that changed real quick.

A little sad that I'm having to contact a company that I had an initial phone interview with yesterday, to notify the owners that their employees are committing fraud in recommending single SAN boxes as HA.

Only so sad. Time to talk about how you could take over their IT.

More like the entire business. It's tempting.

I looked up a friend today on Facebook to see what they were up to since we lost touch a little while ago. Nice to check in with people sometimes. Turns out she died in 2016. It's very sad. Made me think about all of the people I should reach out to.
