Looks like the WAN at NTG HQ is bouncing up and down this morning.
Want me to go kick it?

Installing Nextcloud on CentOS 7 from repo to see how it works.
Install form repo is not longer recommended because the new built in updater is supposed to handle it.
Also Nextcloud is not maintaining any repo setups themselves. It is all community.

And nope. the repo still installs nextcloud10 and php54
on a side note, Nextcloud is in the EPEL now though.

The SCL repo does contain PHP 7.0, but not 7.1 though.

This means that Nextcloud 11 can work with the SCL repo installed. will be a lot of dependencies to verify though, and that is not anything I care to do.
I will stick with the Remi repo.

This is a bit crazy. He has the most run of the mill, basic possible use case yet somehow got "confusing information" from some kind of search and determined that Storage Spaces, physical installs, no RAID or anything is what he needs for a tiny, normal file server. How do people get such insanely bad information for a use case where no question at all should have arisen?

It's very fun. We tend to do very casual games that the kids can control. Hidden object, point and click adventure, puzzle games... those sorts of things.
-
The secret to a lot of games like this is having a laser pointer. Let's the person without the control fully participate.
-
I casually mentioned game night, and she said that could be fun.
So we'll see.

I spent much of my weekend working on my motorcycle. I fixed the problem with the tail light (yay! loose connection). Now, I'm adding some LEDs to show up on the engine under the tank, and maybe some 'greound effect' but I've run in to a problem. I need to split a single power lead out in to 4. Without doing more soldering, I don't see a product out there that can do that reliably so I'm taking a break to play some ARK.

Tons of good games for that on Big fish.

You'll be happy to know that I got to ride through downtown Palermo on a motorcycle this week.
