What Are You Doing Right Now

Just got in to work 15 minutes ago. I was told to sleep in and come in late because I worked with some of our guys very late last night. I was also told I don't have to stay past my normal time if I don't want to. Pretty sweet I think...

Came in to an empty parking lot after the staff xmas party. Whole IT department showed up but thats almost the entirety of our staff this morning. We're all searching our email to see if we missed a crucial memo

Oh man, I can't stop laughing... Sorry that is way too funny.

IT is always the last to know things!

@Minion-Queen If no one told us about taking today off I am going to be super pissed! On the upside I have most of a bottle of 30yr old single malt, so if I'm sticking around I'm going to book dial-a-driver home

Maybe they thought IT needed to do some off-hours maintenance and decided to make the choice easy for you?
Edit: Also I'm generally fairly good with slang but I've never head of dial-a-driver before, is that like a cab?

Dial a driver: Two dudes show up, one follows you the other drives your car home with you in it. It's awesome.

I always joke that we are no longer the IT department. We are now the T department as it would be false advertising to imply that we get any information.
-
@nadnerB Good point. Shouldn't IT be the first ones notified of everything, not the last?
-
I love it.... Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas has been rated by professionals and the public alike as the worst movie in the history of movies.
-
I watched #86, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians from 1964. It was unbearable.
-
Going Overboard with Adam Sandler at #8 is bad, but I don't think quite that bad. It's really bad, don't get me wrong. But not that extreme. We had a copy of that on VHS back around 2000 or so and a lot of my roommates would watch it from time to time.
-
#55 Leonard Part 6 I actually saw in the theatre. It was quite bad.

Megabloks now makes Call of Duty "Nuketown" kit. What the crap are you all buying, people?
