Very nice. Might be worth bringing up a VM for further investigation 🙂

I'm gonna set up a VM right now, definitely worth a look, generally I would always recommend linux mint as the default replacement to windows for non-tech users.

But if this makes life easier for them, while offering the same levels of protection then lets give it a go.

It actually runs really well, right off the bat.

No startup lag (like with ubuntu) and just runs, might have my new go to solution for linux mint. I'll have to test further.

My only grievance with the OS off the bat is that the Start (Super/Windows) button isn't programmed.

                    ARG!!!!

                      You mean the physical button?

                        Yep.

Hitting the classic Windows button (on every keyboard ever made, practically) does nothing.

                          Definitely odd.

Especially considering that the entire OS was designed around making Linux look and feel almost identical to Windows.

Yet, hey "I've got an idea, lets not program the Windows Key. Everyone like that idea? perfect. Done."

Yea. I think he means if you hit the Windows key that nothing happens. 😞

                                Programmed with http://thinkonbytes.blogspot.com/2014/04/xubuntu-open-whisker-menu-with-windows.html

Really simple to do, so the question is, why was it left off....
