Offsite Backup - Linux Host - Need a reasonably timed answer/options

Cheap/inexpensive isn't a requirement. Just the offsite storage of our snapshot VM's

Do you have a ballpark for 4TB of offsite price for Zetta?

How are you going to access that data in the case of a failure? If it's just backups in a remote cloud storage - it's kinda dead until you stand up a new machine based on that data, right?

We pay ~$2200 a year for 600GB's of data. We pre-pay as it gets much cheaper and then pay the difference each month.

I'm pricing a build for an infrastructure refresh, using 2 matching servers running XS CE, in HA mode. Backing up to local server with NAUBackup of live VM states.
The Live VM States are what I'd like to backup offsite. Should a fire occur.
If either host goes down, the other would be up and running and take over.

Sounds about right. They offer discounts for storage but it isn't that great.

Some things to consider for offsite backups at this scale in size and/or cost...
- Your own storage in colocation. For one year of capacity at someone like Zetta you could have an enterprise server or SMB NAS device (ReadyNAS, Synology, SAM-SD) racked and handling not just 8TB but more like 32TB or even much higher that would pay for itself in as little as two or three months while providing tons of speed, flexibility and much higher capacity!
- Raw services like Amazon S3 and Amazon Glacier or Azure's block storage will likely be much cheaper than "packaged" solutions.
- A high capacity VM on Vultr might meet the goals quickly and easily for some time. They get to 1TB for $40/mo.

A colo rack space should be no more than around $1,200 a year. A high capacity 1U storage server could be under $3K easily (1U, four bay rack mount unit with up to 4x 8TB drives in RAID 10 for 16TB usable.) Maybe much lower if you go with 6TB drives for 12TB usable space and a lower cost 1U chassis. Could pay for itself in as low as a single month.

And this Dell R410 server: $800
You are looking at $1,419 to purchase and somewhere between $50 and $100 per month for hosting costs.
Your entire first year could cost no more than $2,019 and each additional year only $600 for a full 8TB of capacity in RAID 10.
