Microsoft Surface Hub

Yeah. Right now, I have about as much of a chance of getting a Surface Pro 3 as the Artic Circle has of becoming a beach resort in the tropics, lol.
I've got a gaming laptop, so I'm good for my mobile needs for now... But I have definitely been keeping my eye on them!
I'd settle for a 55" Touch Screen monitor, though!

I totally love my Surface Pro 3 and it pretty much can be my MAIN PC. My home tower PC basically is my home server but it also has a hefty graphics card for games. But, with STEAM game streaming, I can play anything on my SP3 when I am at home...but honestly, I am more of a classic gamer (GOG.COM is my friend) and my Surface Pro 3 plays those games flawlessly.
I just don't know what I'll do when it comes to Windows 10. I totally love the way OneDrive works in Windows 8.1 and do not need a 1:1 ratio syncing on my low storage Surface Pro 3. I want it in the cloud 100% and just read and write to it when I can.

@garak0410 What's that old saying? If it ain't broke, don't fix it?
I probably won't update my Laptop to Windows 10. Right now, the biggest game I am playing is Vanilla WoW (although I do have steam and need to play some of them too, lol).

Not taking this any more off topic but I am running Windows 10 at work and I do like it...a lot...but for personal use, I need OneDrive to work the way it does in 8.1...makes more sense if they want me to use it...I don't know why it has to be 1:1. Good thing I don't have a 16GB Windows tablet with Windows 10.

It's not off topic. You were talking about your Suface Pro. Maybe you should go and buy one of those Hubs and let us know how much you like it. 8-)

I wonder about this vs the cost of a new Smartboard screen... which does basically the same thing.
-
My Mom was a teacher at a school that got the interactive whiteboards... but they were super expensive (around 10-12k if I remember right).

Really? I worked at a school and the less technical ones weren't that expensive... I think in the 7-8K range for the mid-range ones at the time. The high-end once (which are the panels/self contained units) were introduced shortly after I left for significantly more.

@coliver Yeah. Her school was using the Promethean brand, I think. They used short throw projectors and special software on the PC and the big fat stylus, lol.

Oh, yep the Promethean stuff was really nice, right around the same price but they didn't have an integrated projector that the ones we were getting did. Leveling those smartboards was probably one of the worst things... since they were installed over blackboards normally they would shift randomly and go crazy between presses of the stylus.
This looks really promising for businesses though as many probably don't know about the Smartboard/Promethean brands.
