Not in the least. Check all the threads on that. We specially aren't using it because it's "unlimited" is so small that it's not useful.

Don't confuse "Unlimited" the product name with "unlimited" as in having no limits. OneDrive is severely limited.

And even if OneDrive WAS unlimited, it's not available. I have OneDrive and it has all the limits. The "unlimited" option isn't big enough for my use, but even if it was, I can't get it.

How does one get that? I have Office 365 and OneDrive but it is anything but unlimited.

You have the business edition. The version he is talking about is the consumer edition.

I have both. Neither is unlimited.

Microsoft has said in the past that they will be deploying unlimited ODfB in the coming months. I think there was a thread on it here not too long ago.

It's supposed to be, with something like 10GB single-file-size limits.

The problem is your using the business product. In this case the consumer product is better.

Well 10GB file size limits makes it useless right there. But beyond that, that's the service that isn't unlimited. ODfB is 1TB limit. OneDrive is more like 1-4TB depending on file sizes. But it's not available to everyone, just some people, they were rolling it out slowly.

Can anyone find a reference to OneDrive truly being unlimited? What service was MS calling unlimited but was only a few TB it that wasn't it? There was thread after thread about how unlimited was a BS marketing term and that the limits were very severe.

I agree that MS has stated that they are rolling out Unlimited consumer OneDrive slowly over time (though I wouldn't expect it to be more than a year to get everyone there).

I do also recall there were limits based on the number of files you could have, but I thought that was more do do with Sharepoint than OneDrive, i.e. only a problem on the business side, but I could be mistaken on that.

The article said that ODfB was 1TB, not unlimited. OneDrive NOT for business is the one with the 10GB and 20K files limits. As discussed ad nauseum in other threads.

For my use case, it is unlimited, but I could see how you could say it not truly unlimited, yet...
