    How to store PBX numbers with extension?

      Let's say someone has the number 617-555-0147 ext 666.

      Obviously to reach this person you dial the number and then enter 666 when the PBX answers.

      How do you store the complete number including the extension on a smartphone, CRM, vcf file, O365, softphone or even the PBX phonebook?

      Is there a standard? It was possible, without any problems, back in the days of AT/Hayes commands.

      Or is everyone having their own DID nowadays?

        I believe on a smartphone you can store the number followed by a comma and then the extension number. The comma causes a pause and then completes the extension afterwards.

          Examples.
          8005551212,101 - pauses ~3 seconds then dials the 101
          8005551212;101 - waits indefinitely for you to tell it to dial the 101 by punching a button.

              Just tested, you can enter other values when you dial.
              Change the 123 button

              Now press * and you will get a selection.

              But, when the phone actually dials, it strips them, so it does not work.

              I thought I saw a patch note a year or two ago on this.

                  Yup I did recall seeing this.. It is not "simple", but it is supported for setting up speeddials.
