      Rocketbook - a re-usable notebook:

Everlast gives users a classic pen and paper experience that’s built for the digital age. Mark a symbol
and scan your pages using the Rocketbook App to blast your notes to the cloud. The Everlast notebook
can be used with any pen, marker or highlighter from the Pilot FriXion line. Add a drop of water…
and the notebook erases like magic.

It reports as not being HIPPA Compliant - but how secure would it be for other uses.

I wonder in what way they feel they are not HIPAA compliant, that's weird.

One of our sales guys has RocketBook and uses it for meeting notes. I like the idea.

No NextCloud, so screw that. I'm not getting one of those crappy cloud services just to use this...

LOL - I hear your point.. NTG is invested into NC - and it's a great resource, but not everyone has that. I've had Dropbox and BOX for years - way before my NTG days.... that being said.. NextCloud is the next central storage solution... so it makes solid sense to add it (not read the link yet)

I do see SLACK integration - but they need to add ROCKET.CHAT.... It is just logical sense in the mindset of NTG... I have had SKYPE for more then a decade... (god I'm old).. and only use SLACK / Rocket for NTG.. ...

How often do you want a tool like this for personal stuff, rather than business, though? Very much a business tool. Very much consumer focused, though.

For the longest time - computers were a business tool... then someone figure out out to play chess and poof... games on computers began.. I see your point - yes... it is a business tool,.. but in the day and age of going 'paperless'... this is a way to bridge the gap for those who like and struggle to get away from paper - and going fully digital.

I've seen these advertised before. It's a neat idea, one that won't break the piggy bank if you want to try it out -- for personal or business.

They started showing up in my advertising feeds last night. Apparently their business intelligence knows I've talked about them, but can't tell that I was disappointed that they are useless to me. They need to work on that. Pushing products that fail for someone, to that person, makes them want them less, not more.

There's no direct integration, but you could have the NextCloud app on Android sync the folder where it stores the files.

I'm interested... just not enough to spend $35 on something I may or may not use a lot. If I got something like that though, I'd never need a tablet any more. (I mainly like to draw and doodle on my tablets, lol).

Yeah. For $35 I might want one, but not if it is going to be a huge pain to use.
